Texas Chainsaw reboot title officially Texas Chainsaw Massacre

So the MPA has just rated the most recent Texas Chain Saw Massacre reboot (obviously it's rated R for "strong bloody horror violence and gore, and language."), but more interestingly is that – while ostensibly a sequel – like 2018's Halloween, it will simply be titled: Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The TCM remake is set to center around an older Leatherface (played by Mark Burnham), and will be produced by Fred Alvarez (Evil Dead reboot) and directed by David Blue Garcia (Tejano). Here's the official synopsis:

In 1974, the world witnessed one of the most bizarre crimes in the annals of American history. In 2021, the face of madness returns!

Meanwhile, the reboot – also starring Elsie Fisher (Castle Rock), Sarah Yarkin (Happy Death Day 2U), Mark Burnham (Wrong Cops), Moe Dunford (The Dig), Olwen Fouéré (Mandy), Alice Krige (Star Trek), Jacob Latimore (The Maze Runner), Nell Hudson (Victoria), Jessica Allain (The Laundromat), Sam Douglas (Snatch), William Hope (Dark Shadows), and Jolyon Coy (War & Peace)  – has no official release date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the series? If so, looking forward to the new reboot? Either way, sound off below!
