Following a couple festival screenings, writer/director Damien Leone’s Terrifier 2 is scheduled to receive a nationwide theatrical release, courtesy of Cinedigm, in partnership with Iconic Events, on October 6th. (Tickets are available for purchase at Terrifier2TheMovie.com.) But while most Terrifier fans haven’t had a chance to see the sequel yet, Leone is already plotting Terrifier 3.
Speaking with Slash Film, Leone said, “I basically have a structure for Terrifier 3 already. Right now, I would like to just tell a solid story where it has a nice arc for my heroes, my villains, it’s complete. So a three is, I can almost guarantee a part three. After that? We’ll see if there’s anything left and if the fans still are still accepting of this character and this franchise.“
We’ll have to wait and see what Terrifier 3 is going to bring us, but we know Terrifier 2 has the following synopsis:
After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to Miles County where he must hunt down and destroy a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. As the body count rises, the siblings fight to stay alive while uncovering the true nature of Art’s evil intent.
Terrifier (buy a copy HERE) star David Howard Thornton reprises the role of the bloodthirsty Art the Clown and is joined in the cast of Terrifier 2 by Lauren LaVera (Iron Fist), Elliott Fullam (Instinct), Kailey Hyman (Second Thoughts), Amelie McLain (General Hospital), Charlie McElveen (The Morning Breeze), Casey Hartnett (What We Found), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5), Samantha Scaffidi (American Fango), Griffin Santopietro (Cobra Kai), and Chris Jericho (Killroy Was Here).
Before making Terrifier, Leone introduced the character of Art the Clown in short films that were included in the 2013 horror anthology All Hallows’ Eve.
