Terminator 2: Judgment Day home arcade machine goes up for pre-order in November

If you were a fan of the Terminator 2: Judgment Day (watch the movie HERE) arcade game back in the day, Arcade1Up has some awesome news for you: they are releasing an at-home arcade machine version of the game and will start accepting pre-orders at their website on November 1st!

In 1991, visionary director James Cameron changed cinema forever with Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It’s thrilling action sequences and groundbreaking visual effects mesmerized audiences, and arcade enthusiasts clamored for a video game adaptation. In anticipation, Midway developed T2 the arcade game simultaneously with the film’s production and release. Utilizing sleek light guns for one or two players to play the roles of T-800 cyborgs, the game featured Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Patrick, and Eddie Furlong reprising their respective roles in digitized footage.

The game was a blockbuster hit 1991, and now 30 years later, Arcade1Up is thrilled to produce this title in a home arcade form factor. Arcade1Up game cabinets have quickly become absolute must-haves for retrogame enthusiasts and pop-culture collectors; they play great, look great, and are instant conversation pieces. With T2, Arcade1Up fans will get their hands on one of the most requested titles ever.

2 in 1: The home arcade machine comes with Terminator 2: Judgment Day and exclusive behind the scenes footage on how the Terminator 2 game was made!

Hasta la vista: The game features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Patrick, and Eddie Furlong reprising their respective roles in digitized footage.

Force Feedback: Utilize sleek light guns for one or two players to play the roles of T-800 cyborgs. The gun vibrations and sound effects add additional levels for a more immersive experience.

Easy Assembly: Once the arcade machine is plugged in at home, players can follow the in-game setting menu and on-screen game selections.

Arcade1Up’s new Terminator 2 arcade cabinets are quite close to the design of the originals, the main difference being that the guns aren’t attached directly to the control panel. Instead, the colorful guns that come with this cabinet can be pulled out on wires, so you can move around more while firing at the screen.

It would be pretty cool to have the Terminator 2 arcade game at home. A theatre I went to regularly had it in their game room well into the 2010s. They might still have it, I just haven’t been there in a few years to see it.
