Like many others through the late '80s and early '90s, I devoured everything related to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was a kid. The animated series was a favourite of mine and the original live-action movie was the very first film I saved up my own money to buy (on VHS). I didn't have a video-game console growing up (yea, I was one of those kids), but I do have very vivid memories of playing a TMNT game (Turtles in Time, I believe) at my friends house.
That nostalgic itch is currently being scratched by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, an upcoming video-game that recreates that classic pixel art world. Check out the reveal trailer below!
The new take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme-song heard in the trailer was performed by Faith No More's Mike Patton. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge will reunite Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello for all-new shell-kicking action. "With Bebop and Rocksteady amassing gizmos to support Krang and Shredder’s latest scheme, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge finds the turtles battling through a breathless tour of iconic TMNT locations to thwart their nemeses’ most diabolical plan yet," reads the official synopsis. "Armed with shell-shocking new abilities built on a foundation of classic brawling mechanics, the gang are in for an exhilarating, Foot Clan-stomping romp leading them through the sewers and bustling boroughs of New York City all the way to Dimension X."
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge doesn't have an official release date yet, but it will be coming to consoles and PC.
