Teen Wolf pilot wrapped, Toby Wilkins to direct the next three episodes

Looks like the new TEEN WOLF series is picking up faster than we’d thought it would. It’s a good idea to start expecting a trailer if not some stills to head our way soon. While there are some of you out there who aren’t particularly fond of turning a classic into an MTV series, there are others who do care for this sort of stuff. Here’s another update for you guys and gals who do care.

Bloody-Disgusting writes that Toby Wilkins (pictured above), the man responsible for THE GRUDGE 3, is going to direct three episodes for MTV’s TEEN WOLF. How’s that for a perfect match? The pilot presentation has just finished filming and called it a wrap not too long ago. MTV will soon be pressed to find a director to continue the series with the next three episodes and apparently Wilkins’ the man. We’ll see how well the pilot works out for the public out there and if Wilkins’ has the chops to carry on the torch.

The first episodes that Wilkins’ will bring to the tube will start production within the coming months as MTV is looking for a 2011 premiere. So whether you like it not it’s no point in stopping this train. Anything that has MTV painted on it will gain more momentum as teens hop aboard on the idea. Honestly, why wasn’t THE HOBBIT this easy to get going?

The show will star Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed and Dylan O’Brien co-star on the show.

The series, a remake from the the classic 80’s flick of the same name, revolves around Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), a dorky high-school student who gets a rush of new powers, including the ability to attract girls, after a wolf attack.
