On September 15th, Paramount will be releasing MOTHER!, a horror-thriller from writer/director Darren Aronofsky that we still know next to nothing about. More details may be revealed when the film's trailer arrives on August 8th, but in the meantime the most we have to go on is the footage shown in the newly released teaser, which can be seen below.
Running just 29 seconds, the teaser manages to keep the film's secrets while dropping some intriguing clues and showing quick flashes of some intense imagery.
MOTHER! stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Ed Harris, and Kristen Wiig. Honestly, that cast list and the fact that Aronofsky is at the helm is really all I need to know to get me interested in seeing this movie.
Described as a "riveting psychological thriller about love, devotion, and sacrifice", MOTHER! has the following official synopsis:
A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence.
