Although The Walking Dead may not be the ratings juggernaut it once was, the AMC franchise is showing no signs of slowing down, with new seasons of both The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead on the way as well as a feature film which will continue the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). We've also got a third Walking Dead TV series on the way which will jump forward in time and focus on the first generation to come of age in the zombie apocalypse. Production on the as-yet-untitled series recently got underway and AMC have released a teaser which gives us a look at a few members of the show's young cast as well as some intriguing concept art.
The Walking Dead's Scott M. Gimple and Matt Negrete created the series, with the latter set to serve as showrunner and Jordan Vogt-Roberts (KONG: SKULL ISLAND) directing. Here's AMC's official logline for the new series: "Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad." The 10-episode series will debut on AMC in spring 2020. While I'm feeling a little burnt out on The Walking Dead as of late, I know damn well that I'll be checking this new series out when it drops. What about you?
