When Disney's RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET: WRECK-IT RALPH 2 arrives in theaters, the House of Mouse is going to need a mighty long red carpet to help usher in all the characters from the studio's storied pantheon that are expected to be a part of the animated adventure. On Wednesday, USAToday debuted a series of brand-new images for the upcoming sequel, which include a look at Taraji P. Henson's Yesss character as well as a gathering of most of Disney's princesses.
Take a look at the news snaps below:
In the first photo, you can see Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) all agog while standing next to Yesss (Taraji P. Henson), a living algorithm for the media website BuzzTube. The Disney Wiki describes Yesss as someone who is always up to date on the latest trends. She also holds the unique ability to constantly shift the look of her hair and clothing to coincide with whatever's popular on the web. In the film, Yesss offers Ralph and Vanellope her assistance as they navigate the world wide web.
For the second photo, we find Vanellope standing at the center of a large room, surrounded on all sides by several of Disney's classic (and modern) princesses. In looking at the image from left to right, we find Jasmine from ALADDIN (Linda Larkin), Cinderella (Jennifer Hale), Pocahontas (Irene Bedard), Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell) from FROZEN, Moana (Auli'i Cravalho), Rapunzel from TANGLED (Mandy Moore), and Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) from PRINCESS AND THE FROG all in attendance. The only princesses that appear to be missing from the scene are Ariel from THE LITTLE MERMAID and Merida from Pixar's BRAVE. It's to be hoped that both members of Disney royalty will be featured in another scene.
The third and final image shows Vanellope speaking with a new character named Knowsmore, an internet search engine voiced by Alan Tudyk. The inquisitive aid is Tudyk's second role in the WRECK-IT RALPH franchise, after playing King Candy in the 2012 original animated film.
Are there any other Disney characters you'd like to see make a special appearance in the sequel? Be sure to let us know in the comments section below.
