Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Ever wonder how wandering around in an endless desert can affect you? If you don’t get a heatstroke from the blood-boiling temperatures then you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse at a mirage. Mirages will vary of course. Maybe you’ll see a hot babe or maybe you’ll see water.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case when it comes to these poor saps in a new thriller titled MIRAGES. Bloody-Disgusting has just received a look into Talal Selhami’s MIRAGES. The film is based off of his earlier horror short of named SINISTRA. According to Selhami, the film will be like “something between Cube, “LOST” and The Shining.” Sounds like a rockin’ good time to me. Nothing spells fun like tripping out in the middle of a desert.

Here’s a synopsis to fill you in an all the upcoming thrills:

“Five individuals with contrasting profiles compete for a position within “Matsuika”, a multinational corporation recently set up in Morocco. Following an interview with the CEO, they are advised to undertake a mysterious test in a secret location. It will determine who will hold the position. All five applicants accept and are instructed into a distressing bus, with no windows.

After endless driving, an accident occurs with the candidates trapped in the wreck. Thanks to a joint effort, they manage to evacuate the bus only to find themselves lost in the desert with their driver nowhere to be found. They start to wander, questioning the nature of the accident. Is it part of the test? Despite their will to survive and an urge to find clues, mirages of their most intimate fears start to haunt them.”

MIRAGES is produced by the Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch, Ali’n, S.N.R.T. and a French company called Wallpaper. Click here to check out the trailer yourself! Until then we’ll keep you posted if there’s any new updates in the future.
