It's been quite some time since we've heard anything on Takashi Shimizu's long-delayed English language debut, the airplane-based supernatural thriller 7500, with our last report on the film coming way back in May of 2012 when we shared the news that the film had seen some trouble taking off, with the flick being delayed from its original August 2012 release date to an undetermined date in 2013. But now it seems the runway has been cleared and 7500 is ready for take-off as actress Scout Taylor-Compton took to Twitter recently to drop the following news:
"7500" hits theaters in October! Good day for news 🙂

Takashi Shimizu's 7500 stars Ryan Kwanten, Amy Smart, Johnathon Schaech, Leslie Bibb, Jamie Chung, Nicky Whelan, Christian Serratos, Scout Taylor-Compton, Jerry Ferrara, and Alex Frost.
Written by Craig Rosenberg (TV’s "Lost") and produced by Taka Ichise (THE GRUDGE) and Roy Lee (THE RING), 7500 follows…
…a group of passengers who encounter what appears to be a supernatural force while on a trans-Pacific flight.
In the film Chung plays Suzy Lee, a newly engaged flight attendant on Vista Pacific Flight 7500 while Serratos co-stars as Raquel Mendoza, who boards the plane after sharing a secret with her boyfriend. Taylor-Compton is Jacinta Beckett, who has a unique perspective on death. Leslie Bibb plays Laura Baxter, a flight attendant who is involved in a complicated and secret relationship, and Ryan Kwanten and Amy Smart portray married couple Brad and Pia Martin, who board Vista Pacific Flight 7500 with their two longtime friends for a trip to Japan. Ferrara is Rick, about whom not much else is known.
If the film is coming out in October, expect to start seeing new promo materials soon as CBS Films will need to re-build awareness of the flick as many of us (most of us?) have already forgotten about it. We'll keep you posted on news regarding 7500 as we hear it.
