Taika Waititi shares sweded version of Thor: Ragnarok trailer

Thor: Ragnarok sweded

Inspired by Michel Gondry's BE KIND REWIND, sweded versions of movies or trailers are amateur recreations which require little or no budget to produce. The internet is rife with sweded trailers, but it's not everyday that the director of the very film you've sweded comes across your work and shares it with the world. Created by Ákos Varga, a sweded version of the latest THOR: RAGNAROK trailer was shared by Taika Waititi on Twitter earlier today, who commented, "Just another reason we humans are actually quite cool animals!" Have a look for yourself and marvel at the incredible cardboard costumes and sets! Hulk's in particular just makes me smile.

I've mentioned several times before that I've never been completely blown away by either THOR or THOR: THE DARK WORLD, which is a shame as Chris Hemsworth is fantastic as Thor, as is the rest of the cast and the world itself. We're still several months out from the release of THOR: RAGNAROK, but I'm expecting that the Taika Waititi film might just turn the tide and win me over. With an added dose of cosmic weirdness as well as a great new cast, including Cate Blanchett as Hela, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, and of course, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, THOR: RAGNAROK is looking like it could be quite the treat, and hey, perhaps a sweded version of the entire film isn't too far off either.

The official synopsis for THOR: RAGNAROK:

In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!

THOR: RAGNAROK will hit theaters on November 3, 2017.
