“Two Lovers” is an intelligent, modern-day romantic drama about LEONARD (Joaquin Phoenix), an aspiring photographer who, coming off a tragic end to an engagement, meets two women in quick succession: MICHELLE (Gwyneth Paltrow), his gorgeous yet volatile neighbor who is also having an affair with a married man; and SANDRA (Vinessa Shaw), the pretty family friend his mother (Isabella Rossellini) would love to see him end up with.
