A gritty mercenary, Shale (Tom Berenger), fills in for his girlfriend as a teacher in a drug-infested Miami public school when she is viciously attacked by a gang-member.

Shale utilizes his tactical training and battle experience to gain control over the classroom and, ultimately, the school.
