During the last days of World War II, a Brooklyn couple (William Macy and Laura Dern) is mistaken as being Jewish by anti-Semitic neighbors. The couple soon finds friendship and support from a Jewish immigrant (David Paymer). The story is based on the 1945 Arthur Miller novel of the same name.
