Sylvester Stallone to star in dystopian action/thriller Little America

At 73 years old, Sylvester Stallone has more than earned the right to take it easy and give his body a rest, but the action star seems content to keep pumping them out.

Stallone has added another project to his upcoming slate in the form of LITTLE AMERICA, an action/thriller which is set in a dystopian future where the United States is bankrupt and has been turned into a war zone. The actor will star as a former Army Ranger who is hired by an Asian billionaire to find his daughter. Along with the daughter's highly skilled sister, Stallone must navigate the dark underbelly of Little America, a walled-off city within a city in Hong Kong where many American's have fled following the collapse of their country. Universal Pictures was previously developing the project after buying a spec script by Rowan Athale (STRANGE BUT TRUE), but the studio is no longer onboard and the project will soon be launching at the European Film Market. In addition to penning the script, Athale will also direct LITTLE AMERICA with Michael Bay (BAD BOYS FOR LIFE) executive producing. While LITTLE AMERICA may not sound like top-tier entertainment at this point, I'm always down to watch Stallone do his thing.

The actor was last seen in RAMBO: LAST BLOOD, and recently began production on SAMARITAN, a superhero thriller which "centers on young boy who is out to discover if a mythic superhero, who vanished 20 years earlier following a tragic event, is still alive." The film will be directed by Julius Avery (OVERLORD) and is set to hit theaters on December 11, 2020.
