Sylvester Stallone argues with Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 clip

Sylvester Stallone is now officially a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and although his role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 may be brief, James Gunn has said that Stallone's character could have a big future in the MCU. I'm so ready for that. Speaking of Stallone, a brand new clip from GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2, which is now playing in theaters, has been released which finds Sylvester Stallone having a few harsh words with Yondu (Michael Rooker). We'll discuss a little more about Stallone's character after the clip, so be warned of spoilers if you haven't seen the film yet.

Check it out!

Remember, spoilers. Still here? Then let's go.The character who Sylvester Stallone plays in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is Stakar, also known as Starhawk, a high-ranking member of the Ravagers who has a history with Yondu (Michael Rooker) and is a part of the original Guardians team. One of the many post-credit sequences in the film finds Stakar reuniting with the rest of this team, which consists of Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames), Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum) Mainframe (Miley Cyrus) and Krugarr (a CG character).

James Gunn said that the plan is to definitely see more of Stallone and the rest of his team in the future, but they're not yet sure whether he'll make an appearance in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3. Gunn is currently working closely with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige on the future of the Marvel Cosmic Universe as well as "helping to plant the seeds that will lead to the next decade." I'd say that Sylvester Stallone is definitely one of those seeds.
