Hello friends, if you're like me, every now and again you find yourself with a crave on for blood, beasts, and bodacious badass babes as a part of your preferred cinematic diet. Thankfully, you can usually find all of those ingredients and more baked into films like DEATH PROOF, PLANET TERROR, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, and CHILLERAMA, just to name a few. Oh, but that's not enough, you say? Well then, feast your eyes on this bloody good trailer for Syfy's upcoming grindhouse cinema-inspired series BLOOD DRIVE starring Alan Ritchson and Chistina Ochoa,
Here's the NSFW trailer:
Pretty gnarly, right? The story of BLOOD DRIVE goes like this: After Los Angeles’ last good cop (Ritchson) is forced to join a twisted cross-country death race, his only hope of survival is a dangerous femme fatale who has the need for speed (Ochoa). As per the trailer, each week the series will showcase a new grindhouse inspiration to add to the mix – be it cannibals, monsters, cults, lawmen, nymphos in heat or blood-thirsty amazons, BLOOD DRIVE promises to deliver them all to your horror and b-movie loving brain.
Organizing the series are Universal Cable Productions and executive producers John Hlavin (UNDERWORLD AWAKENING), David Straiton (BATES MOTEL) and Frederick Malmberg (LET ME IN), in a partnership with Mark Wheeler (BECOMING). and James Roland (WEEDS) who created the project and is a co-executive producer on the series.
Holy hell am I glad that my wife insists on having cable in our new home! I'll definitely be checking our BLODD DRIVE when it premieres on June 14 at 10 PM on Syfy.
