Swamp Thing executive producer teases post-credits surprise

Even though Warner Bros. canceled DC Universe and James Wan's SWAMP THING series after only allowing the show to air a single episode, the 10-episode season is still airing weekly on the streaming service. And Warner Bros. may be developing a SWAMP THING movie. But whatever happens to the planned movie, the series finale of the DC Universe TV show airs this Friday – with a surprise.

Yes, SWAMP THING executive producer Mark Verheiden just teased over on Twitter that the upcoming series finale will have something must-see tagged after the credits. Specifically, he tweets:

Dropping this Friday — the final episode of #SwampThing 2019. Expect some resolution, some strangeness, maybe even some tears.  And whatever you do, STICK AROUND after the credits for… well, you'll just have to see!

I don't know about you but here's hoping they're giving us a second season, right?! I guess we'll see this Friday!

Len Wiseman directs the DC Universe SWAMP THING series from a script by Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman. The cast includes Andy Bean as biologist Alec Holland and Crystal Reed as CDC Doctor Abby Arcane. Here's the rundown for the new series:

Abby Arcane investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.

Bean and Reed star in this new series along with Maria Sten, Jeryl Prescott, Jennifer Beals, Virginia Madsen, Will Patton, Henderson Wade, Ian Ziering, and Kevin Durand, with Derek Mears as Swamp Thing himself. James Wan's company Atomic Monster is producing Swamp Thing in association with Warner Bros. Television. Wan, Wiseman, Verheiden, and Dauberman also serve as executive producers on the series with Michael Clear. Rob Hackett is co-producer. Swamp Thing is still airing weekly on DC Universe.
