Suspiria remake hits Blu-ray next month

I keep kicking myself for missing director Luca Guadagnino's remake of Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA (pre-order HERE) in theaters. I had every intention for heading out to see it, and almost made it a few times, but the movie had come and gone by the time I got my shite together. It sucks that I missed it on the big screen, but at least today we have word on just when the hell the movie will be hitting Blu-ray.

Blu-ray.com and Amazon have the remake listed as landing on Blu-ray come January 29, 2019 – a little more than a month from now. Neither site has any special features or details set up for the release, but I'm thinking we'll be handed an official press release soon and then we'll see what's what. In the meantime, you can check out the Blu-ray cover art below along with the trailer and then let us know if you plan to snag a copy of Guadagnino's remake of Dario Argento's SUSPIRIA on Blu-ray once it hits.

Synopsis:

Young American dancer Susie Bannion arrives in 1970s Berlin to audition for the world-renowned Helena Markos Dance Co. When she vaults to the role of lead dancer, the woman she replaces breaks down and accuses the company's female directors of witchcraft. Meanwhile, an inquisitive psychotherapist and a member of the troupe uncover dark and sinister secrets as they probe the depths of the studio's hidden underground chambers.

The remake was directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay written by David Kajganich based on the original film written by Dario Argento and Daria Nicolodi. This new version was produced by Guadagnino, Kajganich, Marco Morabito, Brad Fischer, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Francesco Melzi d'Eril, William Sherak, and Gabriele Moratti. Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Angela Winkler, Ingrid Caven, Elena Fokina, Sylvie Testud, Renée Soutendijk, Christine LeBoutte, Fabrizia Sacchi, Magosia Bela, Jessica Harper, and Chloë Grace Moretz star. Radiohead's Thom Yorke provided the music. SUSPIRIA conjures itself onto Blu-ray January 29, 2019.
