Succession season 3 adds Alexander Skarsgard and Adrien Brody

Succession, HBO, Alexander Skarsgard, Adrien Brody

There is just too much to watch out there, which is my weak-ass excuse as to why I haven't caught Succession yet. The HBO series largely centers around the Roy family, the owners of global media conglomerate Waystar Royco. When family patriarch, Logan Roy (Brian Cox), experiences a decline in health, his four children – removed oldest son Connor (Alan Ruck), power-hungry Kendall (Jeremy Strong), irreverent Roman (Kieran Culkin), and politically savvy Siobhan (Sarah Snook) – all with varying degrees of connection to the company, begin to prepare for a future without their father, and each begins vying for prominence within the company.

Production on the third season of Succession is currently underway and it's been announced that Alexander Skarsgård (Godzilla vs. Kong) and Adrien Brody (The French Dispatch) have joined the cast. Skarsgård is slated to play Lukas Matsson, a successful, confrontational tech founder and CEO, in what will be a recurring role, while Brody will guest-star as Josh Aaronson, a billionaire activist investor who becomes pivotal in the battle for the ownership of Waystar.

After he was ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the close of the second season, Logan begins the new season of Succession in a perilous position. Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war. Hey, it worked for Marvel. Those of you who are watching Succession, do I need to bump the series up to the top of my queue?
