I'm super excited for STRANGER THINGS 3 and you probably are too. And thus today I have killer news as it seems that the much-anticipated third season has snagged an all-new poster, video, and release date. Yes, STRANGER THINGS 3 will be hitting Netflix come the Fourth of July 2019!
The third season of Stranger Things is set during the summer of 1985. Series creators the Duffer Brothers have said the characters are still going to be dealing with the evil creature called the Mind Flayer:
They've shut the door on the Mind Flayer, but not only is it still there in the Upside Down, it's very much aware of the kids, and particularly Eleven. It had not encountered her and her powers until that final episode (of season 2). Now, it knows that she's out there."
The third season of Netflix's STRANGER THINGS will see the return of such series mainstays as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Dacre Montgomery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour. And those regulars are joined by new cast members Francesca Reale, Maya Hawke, Jake Busey, and Cary Elwes.
The announcement was made over on Twitter where the official account of the series posted a new poster (see below) and a new video (see below as well). Check them out and then make sure to mark your calendars as the third season of STRANGER THINGS will be hitting Netflix on July 4th, 2019. But until then, you can always go re-binge-watch seasons one and two over on Netflix.
