So it's no secret that Covid has fucked up a lot of major productions over the last year, and one of the projects that took the brunt of it was Netflix's premiere sci-fi series Stranger Things. Luckily, after many costly delays, the series seems to be back on track! But when will it finally premiere?
Well, while not an official confirmation, during a video call with a fan, star Finn Wolfhard (who plays Mike on the show) said that "it should be out sometime next year, hopefully."

Now, that makes sense. Production was immensely delayed due to the aforementioned pandemic, and since the series is known for its vast VFX, even if production is close to being finished (which there's no indication that's the case), there's still a whole post-production process that needs to be completed before it can be released proper.
However, it must be reiterated that Wolfhard isn't making an official confirmation, and he could be way off base. But I can imagine knowing how far off schedule they are, and possibly overhearing the Duffer Brothers or producer Shawn Levy talking, it seems like a 2022 release would be a safe bet to make, regardless.
But what do you guys think? Looking forward to the new season? Either way, sound off below!
