Summer is ending soon in the United States, but there’s never a wrong time to treat your taste buds to a waffle cone filled with delicious ice cream. A crowned feature of the Starcourt Mall is coming to a Walmart near you to bring the magic of Stranger Things‘ Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream to wherever you like to enjoy the finer deserts in life. Starting September 13, Stranger Things Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream is coming to stores in seven flavors!
The complete list of Scoops Ahoy flavors includes U.S.S. Butterscotch, Triple Decker Extravaganza, Chocolate Pudding, Cinnamon Bun Bytes, and three flavors from the Upside Down: Mint Flare, the Void, and Pineapple Upside Down. Other parts of the world, including the U.K., Italy, Brazil, Mexico, and Japan, will eventually be included in the rollout for this mouthwatering event.
Speaking with Total Film, Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy said the series’ final season will be the equivalent of a blockbuster film. “There’s no way to be contiguous with season 4, and not, frankly, expand scale and depth,” Levy said. “It’s major, major, cinematic storytelling that happens to be called a TV series. Stranger Things 5 is as big as any of the biggest movies that we see.”
In addition to prepping the final season, the Freddy Krueger-like villain Vecna appears in this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. Matt Flood, who served as Universal’s Senior Show Director, recently told IGN, “Stranger Things 4 has such a strong story; we put a lot of focus on understanding how the story was told…The audio effects, score, props, costumes and epic scenes all create the dread of Vecna’s curse, which was so engaging throughout the season. It was important for the Halloween Horror Nights creative teams to understand how those elements were used and then apply them to our haunted house design.”
Which flavors of Stranger Things Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream strike your fancy? I’m all about the Chocolate Pudding, Pineapple Upside Down, and Mint Flare flavors. Hopefully, Scoops Ahoy will come to Canada, so I don’t get left out in the cold.
