Most haunted house attractions are probably going to be closed this Halloween season, but in some areas they're getting around the pandemic issues by making spooky "drive-through" attractions. In Los Angeles, fans of the Netflix series Stranger Things will have the chance to go to a very special drive-through attraction, one that's being called Stranger Things: The Drive-Into Experience.
This is coming from the folks at Secret Cinema, and TimeOut reports the Drive-Into will offer visitors a
roughly hourlong experience that will take groups of 24 cars at a time through “a world of bitchin’ tunes, mullets and monster hunts,” including sets complete with actors in costume and special effects. You’ll drive through the Starcourt Mall, Russian labs and the Upside Down and stop for extended periods of time at each to see different scenes play out. We reached out for more venue info, but there’s nothing more specific available yet other than a “central location in Downtown L.A.” But given that it’s described as a “multi-level experience” we’d say you could start narrowing it down to large parking garages in the area
Tickets to the Drive-Into Experience start at $59 per car and will be available to purchase at StrangerThingsDriveInto.com on Wednesday, August 26th. The experience will open to visitors sometime in October.
I won't be able to make it to Los Angeles in October myself, but it sounds like this is going to be something very cool for fans who do get to go through it.
