David Harbour: Stranger Things 4 WAS set to hit Netflix in early 2021

Recently, Netflix shut down production of the upcoming fourth season of Duffer Brothers' hit series STRANGER THINGS due to… well, you know. And today star David Harbour reveals that STRANGER THINGS 4 was originally set to hit the streaming giant in early 2021. But now, who knows.

Harbour said during a recent Instagram Q&A: 

We’re shut down now. It was supposed to come out early next year, I think, although I don’t have authority on this. And now I don’t know. That’ll probably be pushed back. Hopefully, we can get back to work but I don’t know…

Urgh. We'll let you know if we hear anything else.

STRANGER THINGS 3 tells the following story: 

It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer's heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.

The third season is set during the summer of 1985 and sees the return of such series mainstays as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Dacre Montgomery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour. And those regulars are joined by new cast members Francesca Reale, Maya Hawke, Jake Busey, and Cary Elwes.
