Stranger Things 2 star Sadie Sink Joins Ciaran Foy’s horror-thriller Eli

While I was worried that the newest season of Netflix and The Duffer Brothers' original series STRANGER THINGS might make the mistake of including too many new characters, I was glad to be wrong about that as all of the new characters were pretty great in their own ways.

The new cast even made one of the Five Reasons Stranger Things 2 is Better Than the Original list we did a few months back.

And one of the best new characters was Mad Max played by redhead Sadie Sink. And it is with this in mind we wanted to share the news that Sink has just joined the cast of ELI.

ELI is a horror film from Paramount Pictures’ Paramount Players label and has already cast Kelly Reilly (EDEN LAKE) and Charlie Shotwell. The film will be directed by Ciaran Foy (SINISTER 2).

Sink plays "a local girl who befriends Eli and has a curious knowledge of what goes on inside the facility" and Reilly plays "Eli's devoted mother, who will give anything to protect and cure her only child."

ELI synopsis:

The story centers on Eli, an 11-year-old who moves into a "clean house" to treat his autoimmune disorder. Unable to leave, Eli soon realizes that the house, and the doctor who runs it, are more sinister than they appear.

ELI is directed by Ciaran Foy from a script by David Chirchirillo, Ian Goldberg, and Richard Naing. The film stars Charlie Shotwell, Kelly Reilly, and Sadie Sink. Trevor Macy and John Zaozirny are producing.

ELI begins shooting in Jan. 2018 and hits theaters Jan. 4, 2019.
