Disney‘s Strange World teaser trailer is out in the wild, and it’s got all the pulpy goodness you’d expect from an old-school sci-fi adventure. The trailer introduces the Clades, a family who explores several bizarre and beautiful worlds filled with exotic creatures and locales.
Directed by Don Hall (Big Hero 6, Raya and the Last Dragon) and co-directed and written by Qui Nguyen, Strange World stars Jake Gyllenhaal (as Searcher Clade) and Alan Tudyk. The Strange World teaser trailer presents an adventure that defies the laws of space and time. As we experience lands of infinite mystery, the rules of reality are in flux, forcing the film’s characters to contemplate every step they take. If goopy creatures, animated terrain, and dogs that look like Ambrosius from Jim Henson’s Labyrinth are your jam, you’ll want to give this a look.
Produced by Roy Conli (Big Hero 6, Tangled), Strange World releases on November 23, 2022. Disney has not specified if the film is being released in theaters or will launch exclusively on Disney+.
In addition to the Strange World teaser trailer, Disney dropped an official poster for the upcoming animated film. The new print looks like an old-school movie poster, complete with creases and a mid-century sci-fi feel. The scene depicts the Clade family observing a magnificent world beyond their comprehension, filled with creatures, unlike anything they’ve ever seen.
