One of Kevin Bacon‘s earliest roles came in the first Friday the 13th, and over the decades he has proven to be quite willing to return to horror, a genre he is a fan of. He starred in a great horror movie back in 1999, a ghost story called Stir of Echoes (watch it HERE). Unfortunately, not a lot of people saw it, as it got overshadowed by the previous month’s release of The Sixth Sense. That’s why Stir of Echoes is now being featuring in the latest episode of our Best Horror Movie You Never Saw video series. Check it out in the embed above!
Based on a novel by Richard Matheson, Stir of Echoes was written and directed by David Koepp. Here’s the synopsis:
Blue-collar family man Tom Witzky scoffs at supernatural phenomena — until he lets his wife’s sister, Lisa, put him into a hypnotic trance. Upon waking, Tom realizes he has a psychic connection with his son, Jake. He also has alarming hallucinations of a missing teenage neighbor named Samantha. Tom, convinced his visions will lead him to the girl, begins a desperate search that puts him into a life-threatening situation.
Bacon is joined in the cast by Kathryn Erbe, Illeana Douglas, Zachary David Cope, Jennifer Morrison, and Liza Weil.
