Stephen King’s End of Watch to hit shelves next June

Tying up his Bill Hodges trilogy, Stephen King's next novel END OF WATCH has been dated with a June 7, 2016 release window. The book is the third in a series that follows Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers, the former of which is being adapted for the small screen by David E. Kelley and Sonar Entertainment. Word is an audio edition of the tome will be released simulataneously by Simon & Schuster Audio.

According to Deadline:

In End Of Watch, Brady Hartsfield, perpetrator of the mass murder described in Mr. Mercedes, has been in the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic for five years, in a vegetative state. But behind the drool and stare, per Scribner, Brady is awake and in possession of deadly new powers that allow him to wreak unimaginable havoc without ever leaving his hospital room.

Sounds like a freaky good time, as only King can provide. I wonder how much, if any, carry over from this book and Finders Keepers will make its way into Kelley's Mr. Mercedes limited TV series. Either way, it better rank superior over the woeful Bag of Bones that Mick Garris adapted a few years back. Yikes.
