With the mega opening weekend of STEPHEN KING'S IT now behind us, and news regarding that film's sequel IT: CHAPTER 2 already starting to trickle in, let's make it a point not to forget about several of the other King adaptations coming our way this year.
Speaking of which, King himself just dropped the poster for Mike Flanagan's GERALD'S GAME over on Twitter. The poster is more than a little slick and contains its fair share of religious symbolism. But no harm, no foul. The poster works for me and now I'm even more excited to check out the film once it hits this September.
How excited are you to check out Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Stephen King's GERALD'S GAME on Netflix? Let us know in the new comments section below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!
GERALD'S GAME synopsis:
When a harmless sex game between a married couple in a remote retreat suddenly becomes a harrowing fight for survival, wife Jessie must confront long-buried demons within her own mind – and possibly lurking in the shadows of her seemingly empty house. Among those she confronts are ghosts from her past and a vicious dog.
GERALD'S GAME is directed by Mike Flanagan from a script by Flanagan and Jeff Howard, based on the novel by Stephen King. The film stars Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, Henry Thomas, Carel Struycken, and Kate Siegel.
GERALD'S GAME is set to hit Netflix exclusively September 29th.
