Stephen King praises Shudder’s excellent reboot of Creepshow

Shudder's all-new horror anthology series based on George A. Romero and Stephen King's CREEPSHOW is now streaming over on the horror platform. And it looks like King is a fan!

King tweets:

The first episode of CREEPSHOW (on Shudder) is a really excellent re-boot of the movie George and I made back in the day. God bless Adrienne, and my God, so many Easter eggs!

Nice. Good to hear the man behind the original film is happy! However… Truth be told… I found the pilot episode to be…lacking. I mean, I kinda dug "House of the Head" but its non-ending felt like a cop-out to me. Oh, well. Here's hoping the next episode wins me over!

The six-episode first season is all set to star Adrienne Barbeau, Giancarlo Esposito, Tobin Bell, Tricia Helfer, Dana Gould, David Arquette, Jeffrey Combs, Kid Cudi, Big Boi, Bruce Davison, and DJ Qualls. Here’s what we can expect to see over the course of the rest of this first season:

October 3 – Episode 2: “Bad Wolf Down” / “The Finger”

October 10 – Episode 3: “All Hallows’ Eve” / “The Man in the Suitcase”

October 17 – Episode 4: “The Companion” / “Lydia Layne’s Better Half”

October 24 – Episode 5: “Night of the Paw” / “Times is Tough in Musky Holler”

October 31 – Episode 6: “Skincrawlers” /  “By the Silver Waters of Lake Champlain”

Shudder's Creepshow is produced by the Cartel with Monster Agency Productions, Taurus Entertainment, and Striker Entertainment. Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, and Eric Woods are executive producers for the Cartel; Greg Nicotero and Brian Witten are executive producers for Monster Agency Productions; Robert Dudelson, James Dudelson, and Jordan Kizwani are executive producers for Taurus Entertainment; Russell Binder is executive producer and Marc Mostman co-executive producer for Striker Entertainment. NOW STREAMING ON SHUDDER!
