Stephen King calls NOS4A2 balls to the wall scary

AMC's upcoming 10-part adaptation of Joe Hill's 2013 novel NOS4A2 is all set to premiere this June. STAR TREK and AMERICAN HORROR STORY actor Zachary Quinto stars as the ancient, supernaturally powered Charlie Manx who is described as having the ability to periodically rejuvenate by feeding on the life forces of children as he transports them to a fantasy world he created called Christmasland.

And today we have word that Hill's papa Stephen King has seen some footage from the show cut together and calls it "balls to the wall scary." Nice! Specifically, King told Mick Garris on the recent episode of Garris' Post Mortem Podcast:

I’ve seen some of the footage cut together and I’ll tell ya what, they’re not playing games with that. That’s balls to the wall scary.

The series was created by Jami O'Brien. Quinto's costars include Ashleigh Cummings as Vic McQueen, Olafur Darri Olafsson as Bing Partridge, Virginia Kull as Linda McQueen, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Chris McQueen, Jahkara Smith as Maggie Leigh, Karen Pittman as Angela Brewster, Rarmian Newton as Drew, Darby Camp as Haley Smith, and Ashley Romans as Tabitha Hutter. NOS4A2 is set to premiere on AMC on June 2nd.
