Director Mike Flanagan hit us with a horror-flick two-punch last year with the terrifically terrifying Netflix original HUSH and the better than it had any right to be sequel OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL.
Turns out Flanagan and Netflix had such a good working relationship on HUSH that the streaming service gave the greenlight to Flanagan's passion project, an adaptation of Stephen King's "unfilmable novel" GERALD'S GAME.
The master of horror himself Stephen King recently caught a rough cut of the film, and took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the film, which he calls "Horrifying, hypnotic, terrific. It's gonna freak you out."
Hell yeah.

I became a big Mike Flanagan fan after seeing ABSENTIA back in the day and my love for the man's skills behind the camera has only grown in the years since. I've been a huge King fan since, well, since I can remember. The combination of the two has me nothing but bursting at the seams for a reviewing of GERALD'S GAME.
Plus, you know, the film stars Carla Gugino. So there's that draw as well…
