The Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead, a continuation of Sam Raimi's EVIL DEAD film trilogy, is one of my favorite shows on television, and even though the season 2 finale was compromised on the way to the screen I am looking forward to season 3 with great anticipation.
Unfortunately, the third season will be arriving later than the two previous seasons, which both started airing in October. We have a few more months to wait for this one: Starz has announced that the premiere date for season 3 is Sunday, February 25, 2018. On that night, the show begins at 9pm ET.
Bruce Campbell is, of course, back as chainsaw-wielding anti-hero Ash Williams. You can't have Ash vs. Evil Dead without Ash. He is joined by fellow returning stars Ray Santiago as Ash's loyal sidekick Pablo Simon Bolivar, Dana DeLorenzo as fellow ass-kicker Kelly Maxwell, and Lucy Lawless as the evil / sometimes good Ruby.
A new addition to the cast for this season is Arielle Carver-O'Neill, who will be playing a character named Brandy Barr… who happens to be Ash's long lost daughter.
The third season finds Ash’s status in Elk Grove, Michigan has changed from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead!
Campbell executive produces the series with Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Ivan Raimi, and Rick Jacobson. Season 3 has new showrunners: Mark Verheiden and producer Moira Grant.
