The premiere date is revealed in a newly unveiled TV spot, which can be seen at the bottom of this article. If you want to catch the spot on television, it’s scheduled to air sometime during the NBA Finals Game 3 tonight.
Along with the release of the TV spot comes three new images from the show, and you can also take a look at them at the bottom of this article.
Star Wars: Ahsoka is set after the fall of the Empire and follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Rosario Dawson takes on the title role of Ahsoka and is joined in the cast by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, and Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll. Sadly, Stevenson passed away last month at the age of just 58.
Star Wars: Ahsoka is written by Dave Filoni, who also serves as an executive producer on the series alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer.
The Ahsoka Tano character was originally introduced in the animated feature Star Wars: The Clone Wars and has gone on to appear in the Clone Wars TV series, the sequel series Star Wars Rebels, and the mini-series Tales of the Jedi. After having a vocal cameo in the film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, she made her live-action screen debut in season 2 of The Mandalorian. The animated version of the character is voiced by Ashley Eckstein. After playing the character on The Mandalorian, Dawson also appeared as Ahsoka in The Book of Boba Fett. And now it’s time for her to have her own show.
