New Star Wars TV series include Ahsoka, Andor & more

Even before Rosario Dawson made her first live-action appearance as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian, it was rumoured that the character would be receiving her very own spin-off series, and that has been made official today at the Disney Investors Day 2020 live-stream. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced that Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic and Star Wars: Ahsoka will be coming to the Disney+ streaming service. Both shows will take place within the timeline of The Mandalorian.

Additionally, there will also be Star Wars: Visions, an original series of animated short films that will celebrate the Star Wars galaxy through the lens of the world's best Japanese anime creators; The Acolyte, a mystery thriller created by Leslye Headland that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. Lucasfilm also released a sizzle reel for Andor, the upcoming Rogue One spin-off featuring the return of Diego Luna as Cassian Andor. You can check that out below. There's also Star Wars: The Bad Batch, a spin-off of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, coming to Disney+ soon, and Lucasfilm Animation will also be teaming up with ILM to develop A Droid Story, a new Star Wars adventure that will introduce us to a new hero guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO.
