SPOILERS: Why were Shailene Woodley’s scenes cut from The Amazing Spider-Man 2?

Before I begin, let’s get this out of the way– these are rumors despite the fact that they are part of the actual story of Spider-Man/Peter Parker.

Again, this is part of the storyline that the majority of you already know and were prepared for. These have to do with the speculation on why Shailene Woodley‘s scenes were cut from THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. I may have already said too much…

So here’s the deal: I’m going to drop this image below if you scroll past it you will see spoilers. I have warned you.

Hollywoodlife.com has learned exclusively from a source as to a possible reasons why Woodley was cut:

Emma Stone’s character dies in the next film and that really would take a bunch out of the film if Spider-Man all the sudden starts dating a new girl so close to an important characters death. They were noticing this occurring as they filmed Shailene’s scenes. They want to make the death of Gwen Stacy really mean something and then it will leave room for Shailene to shine in the third film.

After sorting everything out, you could have probably already guessed that. Why downplay such a huge event like the death of Gwen Stacy? Not to mention the fact that they already have a smorgasbord of characters in the sequel. Nice to know that Woodley isn’t going anywhere, or at least I hope.
