We’re got yet another adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on the way. Apple TV+ has released several new images from Spirited, a musical take on the classic tale starring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell. It’s expected that Reynolds is playing an Ebenezer Scrooge-like character with Ferrell playing the Ghost of Christmas Present. Check out the Spirited images below!

Spirited has been directed by Sean Anders (Daddy’s Home), who also co-wrote the script alongside John Morris (Instant Family). Both Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are producing the project, which also stars Octavia Spencer and Sunita Mani. There have been many different adaptations of Dicken’s classic holiday story over the years, but I’ve got my fingers crossed that Reynolds and Ferrell will be able to give us something special.

Ryan Reynolds will next be seen in The Adam Project, a sci-fi movie which follows “A time-traveling pilot teams up with his younger self and his late father to come to terms with his past while saving the future.” The film also stars Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldana, Catherine Keener, Alex Mallari Jr., and Walker Scobell as the younger version of Ryan Reynolds’ character. The Adam Project is set to be released on Netflix on March 11th. As for Will Ferrell, he was last seen in Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, the film we can blame for having Jaja Ding Dong stuck in our heads for far too long.

Spirited will debut on Apple TV+ this Holiday season.
