Spike Lee’s Oldboy pushed back to November

FilmDistrict has decided to move the release date of Spike Lee's new joint OLDBOY from its originally scheduled October 25th release, according to Exhibitor Relations who shot out the following tweet last night:

No reason was given for the date shift, but Thanksgiving weekend has traditionally been a solid time for theater attendance, with many people choosing to enjoy their holiday by taking in a couple of movies. With this move, we're hoping to see some new artwork for the film coming our way soon.

the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

So be on the lookout for OLDBOY as it drops on Wednesday November 27 2013.
