After his spectacular debut in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, we're now less than a month away from witnessing Spider-Man (Tom Holland) taking center stage in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING. It's an exciting opportunity for the young star, not only because it will further cement Spidey's role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also, if all goes as planned, prove to be the beginning of Holland's very long career as Spider-Man. A pair of featurettes for the upcoming film have been released, one of which focuses on all of the gadgets of Spider-Man's new suit and another which highlights Tom Holland's favourite stunt he performed in the film. Check 'em out!
I don't know about you, but I think I've reached my limit for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING marketing; I'm definitely excited for the film, there's no doubt about that, but it feels like Sony is, once again, about to release half of the movie when you take into account all of the various trailers, clips and featurettes we'll be seeing on this final stretch.
The official synopsis for SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING:
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
