Together, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have given us HORRIBLE BOSSES, VACATION, and SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, and now they've set their sights on television as Variety reports that the pair are currently developing a one-hour sci-fi drama series by the name of Proxy.
Twentieth Century Fox has ordered a script for the potential series, which is centered around a technology which allows online followers to "live voyeuristically through the experiences of hedonistic young 'Proxies' on a remote island paradise." Both John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will serve as executive producers, with Daley penning the pilot script, and, should the project move forward, Goldstein will also join the writing team. Young attractive people set loose on an island paradise to do whatever they want while we follow along at home, likely balancing a pint of Ben & Jerry's on our bellies? I suppose I can think of worse ideas. Make mine Chunky Monkey please. Okay, now I'm just thinking about ice cream.
After making their directorial debut on VACATION, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein's second effort will soon be upon us with GAME NIGHT. The upcoming comedy follows "a group of couples who gather for their regularly planned game night when something goes murderously wrong." Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Kyle Chandler, Jesse Plemons, and Jeffrey Wright star in GAME NIGHT, which is currently set for a March 2, 2018 release.
