There was a time that lenticular imagery was such a “cutting edge” gimmick, they’d slap it on any flat surface that might be near eye-level — cereal boxes, trading cards, comic book covers, VHS sleeves, etc.
That novelty is retro-hip again, and what better property to take advantage of the effect than the Wachowskis’ extra-kinetic version of the 60s ‘toon SPEED RACER? The below poster has been in theaters for a while, but thanks to the magic of the internets, you can experience the artificial sense of depth without even peeling yourself from your chair!
Just click SPEED’s helmet, grab that sucker and start wiggling! (The image, please.)
