Casa Bonita is a classic Colorado restaurant that features an arcade, a waterfall with cliff divers, Black Bart's cave, and many other attractions, but most of us heard about the restaurant for the first time in South Park. The classic episode from the seventh season found Cartman attempting to convince Butters that the world is about to be destroyed by a meteor, all merely to gain an invitation to Kyle's birthday party at Casa Bonita.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are big fans of the restaurant, which unfortunately fell upon hard times during the pandemic and filed for Chapter 11 protection earlier this year. Although a sale isn't possible right now due to ongoing court proceedings, Parker and Stone told THR that they actually want to buy Casa Bonita.

We want to buy Casa Bonita and treat it right. I feel like it was neglected even before the pandemic. We are going to do everything we can. We want to make it right and make it amazing.

Should the South Park creators seal the deal, they have big plans to improve Casa Bonita. "We started talking about the changes we’re going to make — mostly with the food," Parker said. "We’re going to make really awesome food. I was already thinking about how I was going to make Black Bart’s Cave a little bigger." It's also likely that the restaurant might just feature a few South Park attractions when all is said and done. I can see it now: Someone in a giant Cartman suit running from table to table devouring all the sopapillas at the top of every hour.
