Sony teases new Goosebumps project!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

As most of you are probably more than aware by this point in time, I was (and still am) a massive fan of R.L. Stine's GOOSEBUMPS. From reading the books as a kid to watching the TV series as a slightly older kid to the recent Jack Black feature film, GOOSEBUMPS is very near and dear to my horror heart. And thus I'm excited when I hear any news regarding a new version of the classic book series.

And wouldn't you just know it, today that's just what we have via Sony Pictures who just released a new pic showcasing their upcoming projects and GOOSEBUMPS is one of them. That said, there isn't currently word on whether or not this will be a new movie or a new TV series. But we will make sure to pass along news once we hear more. Other projects teased in this new image include MIB: INTERNATIONAL, ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP, GHOSTBUSTERS, and that BLOODSHOT movie starring Vin Diesel.

The last GOOSEBUMPS project we got was director Ari Sandel's GOOSEBUMPS 2: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN which starred Caleel Harris and IT's Jeremy Ray Taylor along with Madison Iseman, Ben O'Brien, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ken Jeong, and Chris Parnell. That flick followed:

Two boys face an onslaught from witches, monsters, ghouls and a talking dummy after they discover a mysterious book by R.L. Stine.

Before that film, there was also a GOOSEBUMPS TV series and a feature film back in 2015. That movie was directed by Rob Letterman from a screenplay written by Darren Lemke based on a story by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski based on the books by R. L. Stine. That movie was produced by Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz and starred Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, Amy Ryan, Ryan Lee, and Jillian Bell.

Check out the pic Sony released below and then let us know what you hope this new GOOSEBUMPS project is.
