Sony pushes Carrie remake back 7 months in time for Halloween

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Looks like CARRIE hasn’t been yet touched up to perfection!

As a result, according to BOM, Sony’s remake of CARRIE has been bumped back a whole 7 months…from March 15, 2013 to the newly dated October 18, 2013. Perfect in time for Halloween, yes, but a potentially risky proposition seeing how PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 and OLDBOY, not to mention THE SEVENTH SON, are to release the same month.

CARRIE, from director Kimberly Peirce, is a reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

Judy Greer (below), Gabriella Wilde, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Ansel Elgort, Cynthia Preston and Michelle Noldon will also appear.

So chalk it up…CARRIE won’t be seen until October 18th.
