It looks like this is the morning for 3D Blu-Rays. Following the news of the new PIRANHA 3D Blu-Ray release, we’ve got another cool release date.
RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE will hit the small screen on December 28th, 2010. Just shy of a couple days after Christmas. If you’re not short of change after the holiday craze then grab yourself a copy of Alice vs. Zombies RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE or you can pre-order the puppies right here (DVD), here (Blu-Ray), here (BLU-RAY 3D). Check out the info from DVD Active below:
From DVD Active: “Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($28.95), Blu-ray ($34.95), and Blu-ray 3D ($39.95) editions of Resident Evil: Afterlife for December 28th. Extras on the DVD will include a filmmaker commentary, and 2 featurettes (“Band of Survivors: Casting Afterlife”, “Fighting Back: The Action of Afterlife”). The Blu-ray releases will include all that, along with deleted and extended scenes, additional featurettes (“Back Under the Umbrella: Directing Afterlife”, “Undead Dimension: Resident Evil in 3D”, “Vision of the Apocalypse: The Design of Afterlife”, “New Blood: The Undead of Afterlife”, “Pwning the Undead: Gamers of the Afterlife”), and outtakes.”
3D Blu-Rays reaching well past the forty mark? I might as well buy the RESIDENT EVIL 4 video game at half that price. For those of you who do own 3D compatible hardware, this might be the thing to get. Considering Arrow’s review, which celebrated the 3D effects, it might not be a bad investment. To pre-order or not pre-order. Your call.
RE: AFTERLIFE is set in a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead – and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.
Milla Jovovich (below), Sienna Guillory, Boris Kodjoe, Wentworth Miller, Spencer Locke and Kim Coates star.
