Earlier this month it was confirmed that Marvel Studios won't be at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, and Variety has learned Sony and Paramount are also skipping the Hall H presentations at this year's event.
“It wasn’t a knock against Comic-Con, the film cycles just didn’t allow it," a spokesperson tells the site, and sources also say Sony and Paramount just don't "have the fanboy material to promote," especially since it can cost studios a few thousand dollars to bring their movies to SDCC.
There will still be plenty of awesomeness going at at this year's SDCC though. Warner Bros. will reportedly be holding a "significant presentation" to introduce Zack Snyder's BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE and David Ayer's SUICIDE SQUAD, and STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will also be getting a Hall H presentation. In addition, Variety has heard Fox is bringing FANTASTIC FOUR and "possibly a few X-Men” to the event.
San Diego Comic-Con 2015 runs from July 8-15.
