Grab your speed shoes and prepare to enter the Green Hill Zone because a Sonic Prime teaser is here to preview Sonic the Hedgehog‘s upcoming Netflix TV series. As one might guess, the Sonic Prime teaser shows Sonic racing through the Green Hill Zone while collecting several golden rings. Shortly after grabbing the final prize, Sonic boasts about how great he is and asks the audience if they’re jealous of his skills. Naturally, the teaser features attitude and adventure with a side of narcissism.

According to Netflix’s official description for Sonic Prime, the 24-episode series follows the Sonic on a “high-octane adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in his gloved hands.” Netflix also cautions fans that the show offers more than “a race to save the universe” and will serve as an opportunity for Sonic to embark on “a journey of self-discovery and redemption.”
In addition to the Sonic Prime teaser, Netflix unveiled images for several upcoming animated projects, including Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, Daniel Spellbound, Jurassic World” Camp Cretaceous: Season 5, We Lost Our Human, Dead End: Paranormal Park, My Dad the Bounty Hunter, and more.
While talking about Netflix’s dedication to animation, Netflix Animated Series Vice President, John Derderian, said, “We want to create a safe and trusted space where your children can relax, play, learn, and explore alongside their favorite characters. As a father to a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter, I love seeing the world through my children’s eyes and sharing new experiences.
