Sarah Michelle Gellar coma-thriller Sometimes I Lie heads to Fox

Fox has given a script commitment to the limited series adaptation of Alice Feeney’s novel SOMETIMES I LIE starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. The one-hour drama centers on Amber Reynolds (Gellar), who is in a coma and can’t remember how she got there, but she knows it wasn’t an accident.

The synopsis goes like this:

Terrified and trapped in her own body, she tries to piece together her memories of the last week. With a husband who no longer loves her, a sister hiding a dangerous secret, and an ex-boyfriend who can’t let go of her, Amber knows someone is lying – and that her life is still very much in danger. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it’s the truth?

Gellar will executive produce the limited series alongside Ellen DeGeneres, Robin Swicord, and Jeff Kleeman. Swicord will also pen the script. The project is a co-production between Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment, in association with A Very Good Production. If you're like me and have never read Alice Feeney’s novel, you can go ahead and remedy that right now by heading over to Amazon and snagging a copy today HERE
