Some cool Star Wars: Episode VII fan posters to offset the news that Steven Spielberg bows out of contention as director

Despite it being a long shot to begin with, it looks like Steven Spielberg will not be directing STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. When asked by Access Hollywood whether he would be interested in the job, Spielberg said “No! No! It’s not my genre. It’s my best friend George’s genre.”

Spielberg will likely have his hands full with ROBOPOCALYPSE and other films he has in stages of development, but since he is so close with George Lucas, you can never rule him out for EPISODE VIII or IX.

Meanwhile, Forever Geek has compiled a nice selection of fan made STAR WARS: EPISODE VII posters. Some are a little rough around the edges while others are pure badassery. I highly doubt we would get the dream cast listed on the LEGACY OF THE SHADOWS poster, but I dig the casting of Hugo Weaving as Thrawn. That would be something to see.
